Adopt a Pit Bull Terrier / Alaskan Malamute / Mixed (short coat)

Shanna and Deboo are looking for their forever homes! They came to us as owner surrenders. These 2 have been through quite a bit; surviving a house fire, being threatened to be shot by neighbors because of their breed, and living outside 24/7. They are looking for homes where they will be loved, cared for, and be apart of the family! They are both around 2yrs old and are Pit bull mixes. They both weigh around 40lbs each. Shanna is the shy one, but does warm up once she knows she is safe. Deboo is the outgoing one and loves attention! He is Shanna's confidence and is her boss :P Deboo is fearful with certain men, but does love every female he meets. They lived in a home with young children, but we suggest homes with mature children or no children due to their size and Deboo's fear of men. They are both housebroken, ride well in the car, but do need a reminder on walking on a leash properly. Deboo loves to play with toys, especially balls, and Shanna loves treats and to cuddle! They both just want to be loved and part of the family inside where they can be near their people. They have lived with a small dog as well, but a dog intro is required. Deboo doesn't necassirly need another dog companion in the home, but he would do best with a female and probably his size. Shanna would need another dog companion in the home. They can go home together. They are both altered, up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, and vet checked. Their adoptions come with a free vet visit and 30 days of free insurance. Their adoption fee's are $60 each. NO RENTALS with any breed or weight restrictions. Must have a yard that is fenced, 6ft high. To meet either of them, come to the shelter at 1102 W.
